IFK Gothenburg won this year’s cup final and have only lost five of the first 18 Allsvenskan games of the season. But, only two recorded triples mean the team is currently fighting in the Allsvenskan bottom line battle.
Pontus Wernbloom is back at IFK Gothenburg after his years abroad. On his return, in the away draw against Djurgården, the 51-time player for the Swedish national team A intervened with half an hour to go.
Now “Blåvitt” coach Poya Asbaghi chose to play Pontus Wernbloom from the beginning, in attacking position.

Notably, Sebastian Eriksson was injured on his comeback and was forced to retire within minutes of play. Substitute Victor Wernersson made a change in his last Blue and White appearance before moving to Mechelen, Belgium.
