New recommendations from the Swedish Public Health Agency for, among others, Stockholm County arrived on Thursday afternoon. “Refrain from staying in closed environments such as stores, shopping centers, museums, libraries, bathrooms and gyms,” writes the authority.

– We hope that people will take it and not visit the gym or swimming if it is not absolutely necessary or to accompany the children, says Karin Ernlund.

Visitors to the gym are asked to shower at home.

The same applies to the city library, according to the Jonas Naddebo (C) citizen cultural council in Stockholm.

– We are open but willing to change. Don’t visit libraries if you don’t really need it, says Naddebo.

Friskis & Svettis in Stockholm is also open, but encourages everyone to change and shower at home.

Kats spokeswoman Malin Selander writes in an email to TT that the gym chain is also open, as there has been no requirement to keep it closed. “If the Swedish Public Health Agency issues new guidelines, we will of course follow them,” he writes.
