According to state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, the assessment remains that the spread of infection in the care of the elderly is so small that the benefits of breaking the isolation of the elderly. The risk of further spread of the infection is minimal, close to zero, if the recommendations of the Swedish Public Health Agency are followed.
And while the spread of the infection is slowly but surely increasing, it looks different from this spring. Among the elderly and in nursing homes, the infection hardly spreads. Now it is mainly younger people who are affected and the infection spreads in homes and workplaces.
