The notification period is two years while business is going on as usual in the meantime, but Bilia has started talks about future collaborations with Volvo after the notification period expires.
On the economic front, new Volvo car sales in Sweden and Norway accounted for SEK 6.4 billion of total sales of SEK 29.5 billion, corresponding to just over 20 percent. Operating profit during that period was SEK 1.2 billion.
However, Bilia intends to continue service and damage operations, as well as sales of older Volvo cars, even after the notification period.
Bilia goes on to write that she will apply for a renewed authorization for shop services, which includes service activities and damages.
Used car sales are not covered by the settlements and therefore are not affected.
Bilia is expected to continue to achieve her financial goals. In addition, Bilia is now intensifying its work with future growth opportunities in the service business, in the used car business area and in the sustainability area, such as auto assemblies.
The company will also look further into continued geographic expansion and will continue work that has already begun to grow with other existing brands.
“As Bilia has had a long-term and developing partnership with Volvo, we look forward to continuing to find ways of collaboration to jointly develop services that exceed the expectations and needs of our common customers,” writes CEO Per Avander.
