Volvo Cars terminates the concession contract with Bilia

The notice is for two years and applies to both the Volvo Cars dealer and the Volvo Cars service dealer.

“The automotive business is undergoing a global transformation and we are convinced that Bilia will continue to play a central role in the future. As Bilia has had a long-term and developing partnership with Volvo, we look forward to continuing to find ways to collaborate to jointly develop services that exceed the expectations and needs of our common customers, ”says Per Avander, CEO of Bilia.

The termination does not affect the sale of used cars and Bilia intends to continue selling these cars. Bilia also intends to continue service and claims operations after the notification period has expired.

“Bilia will apply for a renewed authorization for shop services, which includes service and damage activities,” he says.

Bilia’s sales of Volvo cars in Sweden and Norway amounted to SEK 6.4 billion last year. This corresponds to just over 20 percent of total sales for that year.

The largest owner of Bilia is Mats Qviberg’s investment firm Öresund.
