On Sunday night, the police received several alarms about heavy beatings around Hisingen. Around ten o’clock there was a loud noise in the north of Biskopsgården. Police say it must have been some kind of firecracker that was placed in a garbage can.
Later, at eleven o’clock at night, the police in the Wieselgrensplatsen area were alerted, when residents of the area alerted about a strong explosion.
Shortly before midnight, the police were still working to find out what caused the noise.
– We have found damage to a facade, says Ann-Christin Löfstrand, police officer on duty in the West region.
At present, there is no criminal classification. The area is not cordoned off and the police are now working to gather information.
– Everyone has heard but not seen, says Ann-Christin Löfstrand and continues:
– It was a real explosion, because many have called.
