Donald Trump declared himself the winner early Wednesday morning. But as more votes were counted, state by state went to Joe Biden and now he has a clear advantage.
When the US media announced that Biden had taken home previously Republican Wisconsin and Michigan, the 77-year-old extended the lead in clear electoral votes. Since then, the Trump campaign has filed lawsuits to try to stop voting in Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The campaign calls for more transparency for its own observers.
– Do you think we are stupid, that we are idiots? Democrats think you are stupid. We will stick with this and win the election, said Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
Through Twitter, Trump indicated that the votes are illegitimate.
“Last night I coached in many key states. Then one by one, the advantage magically disappeared when the surprise votes were counted. VERY STRANGE, and all the ‘measurements’ were completely and historically wrong! “
The Joe Biden campaign has dismissed Trump’s allegations as “pathetic” according to MSNBC.
THE STATES THAT DECIDE
NEVADA
Biden leads with fewer than 8,000 votes when 86 percent of the votes have been counted, but the state is expected to release new figures only on Thursday afternoon Swedish time.
NORTH CAROLINA
Trump leads with 77,000 votes, but more than 100,000 votes by mail remain to be counted. The state has until November 12 to present the results of those votes.
PENNSYLVANIA
The state decided not to start counting early votes until Election Day, so a large number of votes remain to be counted, more than a million according to AP.
GEORGIA
The vote is in progress, the state electoral director has promised that all votes will be counted overnight on Wednesday, which would mean early morning Swedish time. Donald Trump appeared to be heading for a clear victory in Georgia, but Joe Biden has become increasingly entrenched.
