A woman in Umeå was assaulted and raped last night, according to information from Aftonbladet.
The woman alerted police through residents in the area at 4.30 this morning.
The police are very reserved and do not want to leave any comment.
An area in the center of Umeå, called the West of the city, has been cordoned off after an alleged assault rape.
The assault must have taken place in the open air at 04:30 on Sunday night.
According to Västerbottenskuriren, it was on the beach promenade below Brinkvägen that the police carried out investigations.
Noisy residents in the area
The vulnerable woman managed, according to information to Aftonbladet, to contact neighbors in the area. She is said to have recounted what happened, after which the police were alerted.
A large area is now cordoned off and the police, among other things, have searched a dog at the scene.
Inside the barricades, on a hill between the promenade and Brinkvägen, there were large tarps for several hours, according to vk.se.
It is unclear if they have anything to do with the crime.
No arrests
The woman who was assaulted is currently being treated at the hospital, according to information from Aftonbladet.
Currently, there are no suspects or arrests.
Police are very secretive about the investigation and do not want to answer questions or comment on the Aftonbladet information.
