On Thursday, the government and the Swedish Public Health Agency announced that raising the ceiling for seated audiences will be postponed for the future. Gone are disturbing figures in terms of the number of infected, where it is mainly local outbreaks.

Due to the sinister curve, the director general of the Swedish Public Health Agency, Johan Carlson, gave more information on the proposal that went to consultation, which seeks to give the regions a greater mandate to tighten the rules in case of local outbreaks .

One would do it in such autumn, in consultation with the Swedish Public Health Agency, to be able to decide on local instructions at the regional level.

“An example of this is that everyone in the affected area should avoid traveling by local transport, refraining from visiting restaurants, shopping malls, gyms or other indoor environments where people gather,” said Johan Carlson.

The ban on public gatherings of more than 50 people does not apply to trading venues, but the exceptions may now be relevant.

Boris Lennerhov is Ullared CEO for the rest of the year. He says they are well aware that they have their eyes on them during periods of increased spread of the infection.

– At first, there was a lot of vigilance about how crowded it was with us. And I have sensed all along that you had a little special vigilance in some places. But I had a visit from the new governor this week and she reported that we had done very well. I have not seen us as a risk zone.

Boris Lennerhov is not particularly concerned about the new instructions from the region. A major challenge would be a possible infection among the 1,600 people on Ullared’s payroll.

– We have not had any corona cases, which is remarkable because we have thousands of visitors per day. But if we in the business suffer crown drops in one department, then we end up with a decision that we can close.

There are more people in Ica than here

The advantage when you are The cool thing, says Boris Lennerhov, is that the routines are already in place.

– When I talk about the number of people who are with us, it can seem like a lot to anyone. But we are twelve times bigger than the largest maxi store (Ica) in the country. And each client has at least 12 square meters at their disposal. Then it becomes a little easier to relate to him. There are more people in Ica than with us, he says.

Boris Lennerhov is of the firm opinion that each individual is responsible for their own health.

– Among other things, they ask me why we cannot open earlier for retirees and let them buy in peace and quiet. So my answer is mainly that they shouldn’t be here. The creation of some special arrangements for a risk group is out of the question. Because then it will be almost like an invitation to come here.

– If you are worried and scared, then don’t go to Ullared. There is no more than that.

Johanna Wiechel-Steier, Head of Communications in the Halland region he says they have received the referral from the Public Health Agency, but he does not think it means any major change.

The region has seen a further spread of the infection in the past two weeks, he says.

– We look at it with concern, but so far it is not as bad as it was for a while. We follow the situation and see what measures may be relevant.
