Violent wildfires are raging in Oregon right now.
According to local media, two people have died in the fires.

About 50 wildfires are currently raging on the west coast of the United States, and during the week, thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes in California, according to CNN.
But several major wildfires are also raging in Oregon.
Late Wednesday night, local news channel KOIN News reported that two people had died in one of the fires in Oregon.

Thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes.
Mass evacuations
One of the largest fires is occurring outside the city of Medford.
The city has just over 82,000 residents and thousands were forced to evacuate their homes on Tuesday. The city is still threatened by the fire and a major evacuation may still be needed, according to The Oregonian.

The sky has been colored red by the fires.
Those who live in the most urbanized areas of the area have not yet been forced to evacuate, but according to the fire department, they must be prepared to be forced to do so, the newspaper reports.
Clackamas County borders Portland, the state’s largest city with more than 500,000 residents.

On Tuesday, state governor Kate Brown declared a state of emergency due to the heavy fires, according to local television channel OPB.

Clear sky
According to The Oregonian, a long period of hot and dry weather should have triggered the start of fires and the strong winds should have caused the fires to spread very quickly.
Images showing an almost dystopian image of Oregon are now spreading on social media. The sky glows bright red as a result of the intense fires and the ash and smoke are dense in the air.
