It was an easy match for Sweden against Armenia in qualifying for the European Under-21 Championship. The match, which was played in Poland, was an eventful match, to say the least.
Sweden opened better. Nine minutes later the first opportunity came. Jesper Karlsson pulled away and landed a shot on the road, which Pontus Almqvist caught the return from, but the Beijing player’s shot went over the top.

The victory means that Sweden is parked at 15 points in their qualifying group, which means a third place. One point behind Italy and Ireland. The five best group runners-up, in addition to themselves, advance to the European Championship.
