Dejan Kulusevski came very close to giving Juventus the lead after just under half an hour into the Cagliari encounter. The Swede tried to get the ball into the far corner, like his first goal for Juve, but the shot went close.
– He loves to get into those situations, says C More expert Matias Concha.
Ten minutes later, Juve scored the first goal of the afternoon.
Cristiano Ronaldo edged the Cagliari defense inside the penalty area before crashing the ball into the goal.
– Two touches and PANG in the distance. Extreme world class, says Concha.
Soon after, the Turin club extended their lead. In connection with a corner kick, the ball spliced to Ronaldo, who somehow picked up the ball behind him before sending it 2-0.
– A work of art, says C More commentator Jesper Hussfelt.
Juve’s 2-0 lead held the game. Dejan Kulusevski was responsible for a great effort and was replaced with five minutes to go in regulation.
The victory takes Juventus to second place in Serie A, a team one point behind Milan that, however, has a less disputed match.
