Without Donald Trump in the White House, a COVID-19 vaccine would not have been complete this year, the president said at his first press conference since the election.
He also promises that there will be no shutdown of the society, at least not with him as president.
– Only time can tell which administration will be up and running in January.
– If you had a different administration, with other people, it would have taken 3 to 4 years and it would remain forever in the Medical Products Agency.
Donald Trump said this during his first appearance since the electoral defeat, which he himself has not yet accepted.
The election result was discussed in one sentence when he said that there will be no closure of the company during this administration, but added:
– Who knows what administration it will be, only time can tell which administration will be in place in January, he said.

Take credit for the vaccine
The pharmaceutical company Pfizer is behind the vaccine, which has gone further so far.
But while Trump’s Operation Warp Speed vaccination program has already agreed to buy hundreds of millions of doses from Pfizer if they succeed in developing a vaccine, they have not paid for the production itself.
– All investment and manufacturing have been done at Pfizer’s risk and expense, says Sharon Castillo, a Pfizer spokesperson, on fact-checking site Snopes.
The Trump administration, on the other hand, believes it contributed to the production of the vaccine because, so early in the pandemic, they guaranteed the drug company a revenue from the vaccine.
– Pfizer said they weren’t part of Warp Speed but it was an unfortunate mistake, that’s why we gave them a lot of money, says Trump and continues:
– We have developed the vaccine five times faster. No one can believe it to be true, he says.

New York may be without
All Americans should get the vaccine for free, Trump announces. But those who live in New York can be without it.
This is due to a political dispute between the president and the state governor, Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
Earlier this week, Cuomo praised Pfizer’s success, but expressed concern that the Trump administration is responsible for distributing the vaccine.
“As early as April, the vaccine could be available to the general public, with the exception of places like New York, where the governor for political reasons has decided to say he wants to take his time with the vaccine,” Trump said.
“So we won’t deliver it to New York until we have the authority to do so, which pains me to say.”
