Donald Trump has again addressed Sweden’s handling of the crown eruption.
If the United States chose the same strategy as the Swedes, the death toll would be much higher, according to the president.
“We had two million deaths,” he says.
At Friday’s press conference on the White House pandemic, Donald Trump received a question about Sweden. A journalist wondered if Trump did not believe that the United States should do the same as the Swedes, and keep bars, restaurants and schools open.
“We could have had that plan and if we had, I think we would have had two million deaths,” says the president.
“Good relationship with the Swedish leadership”
Donald Trump explained that “Sweden has big problems.”
– I have a good relationship with the Swedish leadership. They have chosen a different path. They are a very disciplined country, but they have done it differently.

He calls the Swedish way “the plan of the flock”.
– Others have also tried. The UK did it and you’ve seen how it went there. Other countries have tried it. And Sweden suffers a lot.
Tegnell: “He does not share his opinion”
Donald Trump made similar comments about Sweden earlier this week.
– We do not share your point of view. Of course we suffer, everyone now suffers in different ways. But the Swedish health system handles this in a very good way. Swedish health care is one of the best in the world and continues to be, said state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell about Trump’s statement at the time.
