Trump held the first mass demonstration since the election

The election in Georgia was a smooth one, not only for the presidency but also in the senatorial election. Georgia has an electoral system in which a candidate for Senate must receive more than 50 percent of the vote to be elected. No candidate reached that limit in the November 3 elections. January 5 is, therefore, a reelection in the state.

At least one of the two senators seats

Republicans must win at least one of the two senator seats to retain a majority in the Senate.

If the Democratic candidates win, the situation will be 50 to 50 in the Senate. In that case, Democrat Kamala Harris will have a casting vote as vice president.

Donald Trump traveled to Georgia to persuade residents to vote Republican in the Senate elections, but his speech at least referred to the presidential election.

“I want to remain president,” Trump said two minutes into the speech.

– But I have to make sure I get these two.

“He had been a polite loser”

Trump went on to claim that he was the real winner in the presidential election.

– If I had lost, I would have been a very polite loser. I said I had lost, so I went to Florida and took it easy.

The January 5 reelection in Georgia is between Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler and Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. The state has not elected a Democratic senator in the past 20 years.
