The president of the United States, Donald Trump, appeared for the second time since the elections. In the Rose Garden of the White House late on Friday Swedish time, there is talk not of the victory of Democrat Joe Biden, but of the successes reported with a vaccine against the coronavirus.

Indirectly mentions the issue of government:

– We won’t close. This government will not be shut down, Trump said in front of some people at the Rose Garden.

– Whatever happens in the future, who knows which government it will affect, I suppose time will tell, but I can say that this government will not introduce a blockade.

Trump notes that the pharmaceutical company Pfizer has done a fantastic job developing a vaccine.

“Many leaders around the world have called me and congratulated me,” Trump said.

The US public health agency CDC reports, at the same time as Trump, that the death toll in the country due to the corona pandemic is now 242,216, Reuters reports.
