After contracting the viral disease covid-19, US President Donald Trump has now made his first official appearance at the White House.

On Saturday, Trump stepped out onto a White House balcony with mouth guards in place to mounting cheers. He shot up quickly when he spoke to a crowd of supporters on the grass below.

– I feel very good, I hope you do too, he said and thanked all those who “prayed for him” during his stay in the hospital.

The White House has yet to announce the results of Trump’s latest virus test and declined to reveal when he last tested positive.

An event at the White House on September 26, when Amy Coney Barrett was nominated for the Supreme Court, has sparked strong reactions in the United States when at least ten people, including the president himself and his wife Melania Trump, were subsequently infected. Later, few guests wore mouth guards, unlike Saturday’s event.

Trump’s speech lasted only about a quarter of an hour. The speech turned into a “pep talk” character.

Conservative supporters, a few hundred, wore red caps and turquoise shirts. Most were black and so-called Latinos, that is, Americans of Latin American origin.

– I’ve done more for blacks than anyone since Abraham Lincoln. No one can say no to that, Trump claimed.

Abraham Lincoln became the first president of the Republican Party in 1861. He abolished slavery in the midst of the Civil War (1861-1865).

For Trump, an election rally in Florida is waiting on Monday. The campaign continues in Pennsylvania on Tuesday and in Iowa on Wednesday.
