Truck giant Volvo has signed a partnership agreement with Japan’s Isuzu. The deal includes Isuzu buying UD Trucks from Volvo for approximately SEK 20 billion, according to a press release.

The agreement follows the letter of intent signed almost a year ago.

“I have high expectations for this strategic alliance, which will make the Volvo Group and Isuzu Motors even more competitive in their respective markets and segments. This is an opportunity to share investment in technology and help each other grow, “writes Volvo CEO Martin Lundstedt in a comment.
