Despite the fact that the 45 ISIS travelers have left Sweden for Syria and the IS terrorist sect, Swedish tax dollars have kept coming. Shows a revision that GT has done. 24 people have been paid the money directly, while the rest are part of the same family community as the recipients.
One of the 45 is the now allegedly deceased ISIS recruiter Michael Skråmo, who traveled to Raqqa in Syria with his wife in 2014. Skråmo became known for spreading the message of the terrorist movement through social media and encouraged other Swedes to travel to Syria and carry out terrorist attacks on Swedish soil.

GT has taken note of a decision on reimbursement from the Swedish Social Security Agency showing that 99,097 SEK was paid to the Skråmo family after they left for Syria.
According to GT, a Norrköping woman received the most money: just over SEK 250,000, despite the fact that she left Sweden for Syria with her husband and two children in 2015. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency is unable to recover 198,006 SEK.
– We do everything we can, of course, in accordance with the regulations we have to ensure that taxpayers’ money goes to those who are entitled to compensation, not to anyone else. Especially not for those who commit such crimes and activities, it is directly outrageous that it happened, says Thomas Falk, national coordinator against organized crime at the Swedish Social Security Agency, to GT.
