Shortly after 9pm on Saturday night, a tram collided with a car between Bellevue and SKF. The accident has caused several tram lines in Gothenburg to not be able to function as they should.
– The distance between Nymånegatan and Redbergsplatsen and Gamlestaden respectively will be affected, says Jill Hasselqvist from the Västtrafik emergency service.
The affected tram lines are lines 6, 7 and 11. Initially, there was a stop on the route, but traffic could start shortly before ten, but the lines are delayed.
The rescue service was also alerted and assisted at the scene of the accident. According to the rescue service, no one was trapped in either the car or the tram.
– The drivers must have managed to leave voluntarily, says Joakim Hallin, alarm and control operator of the Greater Gothenburg Rescue Service.
According to police, none of those involved were injured in the accident. At 10 p.m., the police still had personnel on the scene.
– Our role is always the same, to investigate the circumstances and see if any crime has been committed in connection with this traffic accident, and make sure that no one else is injured while directing traffic, says Andreas Odén, Police Duty Officer region of. West.
