There will be a total stop for organized sports for children and young people in Stockholm, including outdoors.
The flash decision already applies from Sunday.
– It’s crazy, says a father to Aftonbladet.
The government and the Swedish Public Health Agency announced stricter crown rules at a press conference on Friday. There will be an alcohol stop starting at 8pm in the evening, fewer people will be allowed to gather in the pub, and people called on the shops to stop the noon sale.
Stefan Löfven also announced that all unnecessary state and municipal activities will be canceled. Open preschools, swimming pools and sports halls were taken as examples.

Quick decision in Stockholm
When it comes to outdoor sports, municipalities seem to have interpreted the messages differently.
In a quick decision on Saturday night, the city of Stockholm announced that it will stop all organized sports, indoors and outdoors, starting Sunday. All schedules on the soccer and bandy fields are reserved.
The decision applies to all ages. The only exception is elite sports.
The city writes on its website that “the infection situation in Stockholm is very serious. For this reason, the Stockholm City Council has decided that all activities for all ages take place in all sports facilities in the city, both indoors and outdoors ”.
– We have made the decision based on the contagion situation, which the government agreed on last Friday. We hope it will work and that it may be a different situation, says Marina Högland, head of the sports administration in the city of Stockholm.
“Unclear directives”
However, the sports administration admits that it is important to move and exercise. Therefore, soccer fields will be open, in some cases snow removal and lighting will be extended for extended periods.
The plans can be used freely, but one “discourages all spontaneous group activities.”
The decision has caused many parents to react on social media and with Aftonbladet. The fact that different municipalities, even within the Stockholm region, interpret the new restrictions so differently is irritating.
– I don’t understand the logic of canceling all sports, especially since the children still go to school and have sports lessons. They are the same children who play soccer on the same team after school and on weekends, says a parent who wishes to remain anonymous.
“The children are very sad”
It also reacts strongly to the fact that outdoor activities in particular are shutting down.
– That a group of eight-year-olds are not allowed to play soccer outdoors is very strange.
On Saturday night she received emails from various sports associations in which her children participate.
– The children are very sad. It’s your weekends that are ruined. They skate, play soccer and bandy. They think this is very boring.
