It had previously been confirmed that the participant Caspar Camitz fell ill with covid-19. Early Friday morning, Aftonbladet was able to reveal that there was more to it than that.
This is now confirmed by TV4. When DN searches the production, TV4 refers to a post on Instagram.
“We can confirm that two more idols, Affe Hagström and Nadja Holm, tested positive for COVID-19. All the competitors are fine under the circumstances. “
In the post, TV4 affirms that they are taking the necessary measures so that the participants do not infect each other. On Thursday, Aftonbladet reported that the participants were kept in isolation in their hotel rooms.
Affe Hagström, one of the participants who was infected, tells DN that he feels completely fine under the circumstances.
– I just have a little sore throat and I’m congested, he says.
Affe Hagström says he tested positive on Thursday. When DN reaches it, he and most of the other participants are in their hotel rooms, waiting for information at night.
– I don’t know what to say, but I’m not entirely sure how it will be.
Aftonbladet stated on Friday that according to one source, it may be relevant with pre-recorded clips of participants’ hotel rooms. This has not yet been confirmed by TV4, and Affe Hagström also does not know if the information is correct.
How do you feel about it, if it becomes relevant?
– Probably an alternative. The production wants it to be solved and idols want that too. It’s better than sending nothing.
Are you fit to sing tonight?
– Maybe not, says Affe Hagström. But we will see, we all have different symptoms. Some feel nothing.
Who knows you are infected?
– So far I know it’s me, Caspar and Nadja.
The thirteen participants have been hanging out almost every day for two weeks. Since the “Idol” season began, they have lived together in the same hotel.
How do you think the production has handled the recommendations on social distance?
– They have made it clear that we must keep our distance as best we can. But you can’t force people to do that.
Have the idols been cared for according to the recommendations?
– No, I think we could have been a little lazy. Especially in broadcasting, when emotions take over. It is easy to forget in the moment. But now is how we are, we must improve after this.
Do you think the “Idol” season can continue despite the spread of the infection?
– I think it is possible to find a solution. People have moved and quit their jobs in order to participate, says Affe Hagström.
TV4 writes on Instagram that they will be returning about how tonight’s broadcast of “Idol” will take place.
