Three cars and a moose in a collision on E6 – the road closed

The alarm about the accident occurred at 6.15 am on Wednesday morning.

The rescue service is in place and first completely closed the road north at Sandsjöbacka.

– There are many queues, says Jocke Hallin, alarm and control operator at the Greater Gothenburg rescue service.

According to police, one of the cars rolled over in connection with the accident.

– The moose is dead on the road and one of the cars must have overturned according to the initial information, we are there with two units together with traffic assistance, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesman for the police in the West region.

A lane was opened

Just before 07:00, the rescue service was able to open one of the northbound lanes. When the road was fully opened later, the lines were still very long.

Three cars and a moose have been involved in the accident.

– It started with one of the cars hitting the elk and then I don’t know if the other cars also hit the elk or if they hit each other, says Jocke Hallin.

Several ambulances were called to the scene and one person was taken to the hospital, the remaining ambulances were able to leave without taking anyone with them.
