Police arrested three men after a car chase in Skaraborg overnight.
It was twenty past twelve when the police discovered a stolen car on the outskirts of Lidköping. When the police tried to stop the car, the driver opted to press the accelerator and began a twenty-minute chase.
– We had a dog patrol helicopter and intervention units, says Magnus Nordqvist, police officer on duty.
The stolen vehicle traveled south before the end of the trip on the E20 outside Vara shortly after midnight.
– As it seems, they suffered a puncture, says Magnus Nordqvist.
The three men are now arrested on suspicion of various crimes.
– They are suspected of using livelihoods, plus we have a driver who is also suspected of driving drugs and gross negligence in traffic, says Magnus Nordqvist.
