On Friday afternoon, the police were alerted to a mosque in Borås. A person had received and opened a letter that turned out to contain an unknown powder.

Medical personnel have examined the man in question and he should feel fine.

According to the police, it is currently unclear what dust is, but the police have launched a preliminary investigation into illegal threats against groups.

“The police are taking what happened seriously and are currently working to investigate the circumstances,” the police write.

According to the police, similar threats have occurred recently in various parts of the country.

Last week, the police bomb protection group was sent to a mosque in the Malmö Jägersro area after a letter containing white powder was sent there.

The powder was then harmless.

Last week, the Great Mosque of Eskilstuna also received threatening letters with dust, according to Eskilstuna-Kuriren.
