The explosion occurred at 11 o’clock in a bathroom inside the doctor’s office, which is located on the third floor of the building. An elderly woman, who was in a room adjoining the bathroom, suffered serious shrapnel injuries.
– There is information about the room that is interesting. We also look at surveillance camera footage, Peter Adlersson, Police Region West press spokesman, tells TT.
The suspect was not identified Wednesday afternoon.
Senad Krmo is a professor at Framtidsgymnasiet, which is located in the affected building.
– It was a hard blow and you could see that there was a lot of damage, he tells TT.
– We have about 350 students, although not all were in their place today. We evacuated the school and the students were allowed to go home.
Police technicians and personnel from the national bomb squad were called in to verify that there was nothing else in the building that could explode.
There are a number of different activities in the house, but not the dwelling.
At the same location, a door was blown up at night a few weeks ago, with a bang that was heard across much of Gothenburg.

According to local media, there is a known threat against a person associated with the doctor’s office.
Wednesday’s explosion is being investigated by police as widespread destruction, attempted murder and violation of the explosives law.
Several tram lines had to change routes after the explosion. At 1 pm, however, the police removed the barricades they had erected outside the building.
