Svealand and South Norrland have a good chance for sunshine this weekend, according to SMHI.
But then fall comes.
– Statistically, we are weeks away from a logical fall, says meteorologist Moa Hallberg.
The weekend and the beginning of the next week can offer the last opportunities for summer sun.
– We have unstable weather to look forward to in the future, but there is a chance for the sun to come and go. During the weekend and also on Monday there may be some sunshine. So there’s a bit of everything to expect, says Moa Hallberg, a meteorologist at SMHI.

Then fall strikes
Fall has already taken over much of Norrland, but for the rest of the country, summer may linger a while longer. Meteorological autumn only occurs when the average daily temperature is below 10 degrees for five consecutive days.
– Quite normal temperatures are still expected for southern Sweden, they can be a little below 20 degrees at noon. Between September 16 and September 30, it will generally be fall across much of Svealand, says Moa Hallberg.
At the same time, the light now disappears faster and faster and soon the autumn darkness arrives. In ten days, the sun will set shortly after 7pm in southern Sweden and before 7pm in the north.

Winner of this summer’s vacation
Now, at the beginning of September, it is also possible to compile the summer months of this year.
The result? The early and late vacationers became winners, while those who were off during the industrial vacation had to rest in mild winds and sub-normal temperatures.
– If you think in terms of temperature, June was warm, July cold, and August also warm compared to an average year, says Moa Hallberg.
