Rain, wind, snow and warnings.

The weather of the week will be mixed, but high pressure makes it cold in many parts of the country.

Just in time for the first Advent, there may be snow all over the Baltic Sea landscape.

The week starts with sunshine in many parts of the country, except in the mountains and southern Norrland.

In the south, temperatures will remain unusually mild for the season through Thursday. In the north, on the other hand, it will be mostly degrees lower, with 5-10 degrees for some nights.

Sudden ice slide

Tuesday will be rainy and windy. The high pressure generated during the morning means that it will rain in most places in Svealand and Götaland. In South Norrland, on the other hand, it will snow, but in most places only a few inches at most. SMHI has issued class 1 warnings for Dalarna County, Värmland County, and Gävleborg County.

The mild weather continues on Wednesday, which in the south will be cloudy, but in most places you will have a break from the rain. In Norrland, however, snowfall is expected, which turns into rain during the day. Then there may be a risk of frozen ice, when rain falls on cold roads.

Sun, sun and even more sun

On Thursdays and Fridays it will be cold and sunny in most of the country, except for the mountains.

Saturday is expected to be a bit cold, and in the south clouds will appear again, along with a lot of haze and fog. In the north it will be less degrees and mostly sunny.

Weather change in the first Advent

A change of weather awaits Sunday. The easterly winds over the Baltic Sea mean that it will be mostly cloudy in the south, with rain, mixed snow and some snow in the Baltic Sea landscape. In the north it seems that there will be a break with many clouds.

The night before Monday, it looks like it’s going to snow across much of the country. This is due to low pressure moving north over the Baltic Sea.
