The alarm to the police came at 8:30 am on Saturday.
Three people had robbed Godiskällaren at Kungssten in Gothenburg.
Threatening the lone merchant with a pistol-like object, they found tobacco and money before fleeing the scene in a car, according to police on their website.
Owner: “Assuming a financier”
The store owner is Daniel Keyhanfar, 23. He says the robbery was caught on a surveillance movie and lasted 20-30 minutes. According to him, the thieves pointed the pistol-shaped object at the clerk’s head and tied his hands.
While two of the perpetrators were inside the room, the third stood at the entrance and made sure that no one else could enter the store.
– I don’t know what to do … Technically there is nothing to do. It’s boring, it’s a popular store, but it has a financial aspect. The company may not be able to do this, says Daniel Keyhanfar, who was also previously interviewed by GP.
– Unfortunately, you may need to think about alerting people. Insurance companies don’t always cover everything.
Value: half a million
The total value of theft and destruction in the store stops at up to half a million.
– Hard to say, but when we put it together it landed between 400,000 and 500,000 SEK. I took it to 518,000, he says.
Daniel Keyhanfar tells us that this is the second robbery in the past year.
The first occurred in May of last year, and the store owner suspects that they may be the same authors.
– It was exactly the same. They used the same methods, he says.
Despite the robbery, Saturday’s store remained open as usual. Daniel Keyhanfar believes he had no other choice.
– I must be open, otherwise we must attack again. We have to keep trying to sell as much as possible, especially on a Saturday, “he says.
Police searched the escape car
After the robbery, the police searched for the alleged escape car, but could not find it.
– We are looking for a white Volkswagen Caddy. It should be located outside of Gothenburg, so we hope it will be out of place and someone will recognize it, Christer Fuxborg, the police spokesman, told the GP on Saturday morning.
The thieves were masked, the store owner says, and according to police, at the time of the robbery, they were dressed in black and wearing some type of warning vests.
Theft notification has been prepared. The clerk was not physically injured in the incident.
