The brutal crime took place at an address on Majorna in Gothenburg in late August.
Later, the victim, a man, was visited at home by two other young people. According to the indictment filed in the Gothenburg District Court on Friday, the two alleged perpetrators more or less tortured the victim in connection with the robbery.
Pillowcase over the victim’s head.
The perpetrators have “In the plaintiff’s house, he tied him up, stuck a sock in his mouth that was taped up, covered his head with a pillowcase and hit him over a large part of the body with a shoehorn.”says in the lawsuit.
The perpetrators are also suspected of having carried out an act with the victim comparable to intercourse. The prosecutor writes:
“The crime should be considered serious because (…) the approach has shown special cruelty or rudeness.”
Stolen valuables and money
In connection with the torture-like treatment, several valuables were stolen from the victim, including clothing, jewelry, a mobile phone and a game console. The victim was also forced to hand over the code to her ATM card, after which SEK 12,000 was withdrawn from her bank account.
The two young men have now been indicted in Gothenburg District Court on suspicion of robbery and aggravated rape. They are also charged with drug-related crimes committed on other occasions.
According to the indictment, the men have admitted to the robbery but deny the aggravated rape.
– I have no comment, but save this for trial, says defense attorney Björn Hurtig, who is defending one of the men.
GT has sought out the other man’s defender as well as the prosecutor in the case.
