Regional Director Ann-Sofi Lodin says in a comment:
– Now there is a very large load on VGR as a whole. Through the boost mode, we can coordinate our decisions even more effectively and prioritize even more clearly and quickly, to ensure accessibility to healthcare and staff resilience.
Earlier in November the region went up in personal mode, but boost mode is therefore slightly above that. The dire situation – a record number of people are being treated in hospitals in Västra Götaland since the outbreak of the pandemic – is claimed as the cause.
“There are no signs of slowing down”

Depending on the region, the reinforcement mode ensures that “nthe necessary measures for vaccination can be prioritized”.
The decision already applies as of today Thursday. GP was the first to tell the news.
