A new meeting without a changed message but with clear consequences.

This is the result of Friday’s meeting between the sports movement, the Football Association and the Public Health Authority.

– The Swedish Cup cannot start on June 1 if the recommendations of the FHM must be followed, says the president of the Sports Association, Björn Eriksson.

Swedish football hoped that its developed strategic plan on how to responsibly restart the sport would convince the Public Health Authority to give elite football the go-ahead for a restart. On Friday, the parties met again, but without any decision on changes to existing restrictions.

– FHM expects to be notified in early June, says Björn Eriksson.

“FHM does not test the protocol”

The result is that the planned start of the Swedish Cup in soccer on June 1 should be postponed in the future. Football’s hope that the document produced would convince FHM was also unsuccessful.

– FHM does not test protocol, but I think it will be a great pleasure for many sports, says Eriksson.

RF as coordinator

Instead, FHM retains its current regulations and has chosen to give RF the role of coordinator of all sport in Sweden.

– We become a kind of agency that helps between sports federations and the authorities.

The press department of the public health department does not want to comment on the meeting, but refers all questions to the press conference this afternoon. The Swedish Football Association and Swedish elite football in turn refer to an upcoming press release.

As for the start of the All Swede on the feminine and masculine side, as well as the superette, it is scheduled for June 14 and 15 and, therefore, depends on the message that FHM will bring in early June.
