The Southampton players celebrate after 3-0 at Sheffield United.
Southampton increasingly look to be counting on this Premier League season. The club is currently in third place in the table.
“The Saints” celebrated Lucia by sending three balls (Che Adams, Stuart Armstrong and Nathan Redmond) at home at St. Mary’s against Sheffield United in free fall.
– In the long run, we want to end the top half. We have finished in the lower half in recent years. We took it game by game, but what we achieved today was a good starting point, says midfielder Stuart Armstrong in the television interview after the 3-0 win.
Sheffield United is going in exactly the opposite direction. The club have only managed one point from twelve games and hit a less pleasant record, as the first team since Queens Park Rangers in 2012 to be winless after twelve rounds.
The question is how long manager Chris Wilder can keep his job.
