Robin Olsen may have a chance between the posts at Everton faster than expected.

According to the Mirror, Jordan Pickford may later be suspended by the FA for the tackle on Virgil van Dijk.

If referee Michael Oliver had received help from the VAR room as planned, Robin Olsen should have been able to replace a Jordan Pickford sent off yesterday after Virgil van Dijk’s crazy tackle.

But the Everton goalkeeper managed completely without a penalty after the VAR referee fully focused on offside in the same sequence. But according to the Mirror, a suspension decision may come later if both referee Michael Oliver and the VAR chamber admit they have made a mistake in their respective match reports. The newspaper writes that a suspension in that case is expected to be up to three games.

Reports say that Virgil van Dijk has injured his cruciate ligament and will therefore miss the rest of the season. But an official confirmation from Liverpool has yet to come.
