A woman in her 70s has been arrested on suspicion of having kept her son locked up for 28 years.
It is said that a close relative of the prisoner alerted the authorities twenty years ago.
– I’m so pissed that no one ever believed me, she says.
During the day, the relative had contact with the hospital where the man is treated. According to her, you should be calm and feel good where you are.
– He can eat and has received food and has undergone surgery, she says.
The relative was also the one who first arrived at the house on Sunday and managed to get the man out of the apartment.
The sight that met her was worse than she could have ever imagined:
– It was misery. There were things everywhere and it smelled disgusting. Nothing seemed to be washed and cleaned for many, many years. I didn’t want to touch or touch anything. I ended up in total shock, she says.

He turned around and ran away
The last time the relative met the man was twenty years ago. She had a dog at the time and used to see him and his mother walking around the area where they lived. But the mother prevented him from making contact, he says.
– I tried to talk to him. Asked if we would do something, play basketball or something. He got nervous and smiled and his mother answered for him. When I last saw them, they turned and fled.
Later, he received reports from a friend who lives in the area. The friend initially said that the man and mother used to walk around the area, but in recent years the friend has not seen the man.

The relative says he had prepared to have the man mentally taken when he arrived at the apartment on Sunday. But he had never thought it would be so bad.
– I had prepared myself for the fact that he might be scared, even aggressive. You never know what has happened for so many years. Never in my wildest imagination had I been able to imagine what had happened to him physically. It was in very bad shape. He has received absolutely no medical attention. He hasn’t let anyone into the apartment.
How could it go unnoticed?
– I can’t understand that. I’m so damn pissed off that no one ever believed me when I sounded the alarm about this. I went to psychiatry and told the whole story. But they said they must have a confirmation from someone else. I said my whole family knows. It was a big mistake. Parts of the family panicked and bled completely. After that, I was more or less excluded from the family.
Have you reported it to other organizations?
– I have reported it to social networks. But they didn’t believe me.
How could the mother get him out of school?
– It is a great question that I and others want an answer.
Did you try to do anything else in recent years to get it out of there?
– According to her, he did not want to have contact with us in the family. Only the gods know what he has said. He has not been physically locked up, but could walk whenever he wanted. Those I have been in contact with have said that there is therefore nothing criminal about this. But I know it’s broken.
How can you be so sure of that?
– It’s pretty obvious if you saw and met him. No man would voluntarily set foot in the apartment he lived in.
