Information will arrive on Tuesday from the Public Health Agency about what will happen to the city councils, which Uppsala County has had since late October. According to the authority’s proposal discussed with the Uppsala Region, the councils will be extended, but will not be further adjusted.
– The decision has not been made, so nothing definitive can be said, but our firm opinion is that they will be extended and will be the same as before. When we look at our numbers locally, we can’t point to gyms, restaurants or stores, says Mikael Köhler.
Do the municipalities have any help?
– Yes. We can see that the occasions of contagion have passed from the parties, of which we have spoken previously, to family life. There is nothing we can do about it.
On Monday afternoon, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) announced that from November 24, public events with more than eight participants will be banned.
– I think it is completely right for the state to make decisions that apply throughout Sweden, says Mikael Köhler.
