Next week seems to be really wet in Gothenburg, so SMHI announces. It is about the storm Alex, which before its entry into Sweden, among other things, caused flooding in France and Italy, which has now reached the west coast.
– They belong together, it is a large low pressure system that has affected much of Europe, says Linus Karlsson, meteorologist at SMHI.

Class 1 warnings issued
In Gothenburg, rain began to fall around lunchtime and for the rest of Sunday it is expected to fall between 15 and 20 millimeters.
– There will be copious amounts of rain.
Currently, SMHI has issued class 1 warnings both in the upper part of Västra Götaland and in Värmland. But it does not seem necessary to issue such a warning for the Gothenburg area, announces SMHI.
– But the weather will be unstable for the rest of the week.
A few hours of sunshine on Monday
On the other hand, there is a chance that Gothenburgers will get a few hours of sunshine before the storm actually starts. On Monday, temperatures will be around 17 degrees, while it looks like it will be quite sunny.
– If you are looking for sun, it seems that Monday will offer it, says Linus Karlsson and goes on to say that the following days will offer lower temperatures and rainfall.
