The Premier League, like most leagues, has been postponed in the future as a result of the crown pandemic and there has been uncertainty as to when the league can start again. The previous message has been that league play can be resumed when it is “appropriate” and “safe”.

Now it looks like the league could restart next month. According to The Telegraph, the government will provide the green light for professional sports to start again in June.

The newspaper writes that the government will soon ease some restrictions, including for elite sports and professional soccer, and that the government will publish a document on the subject on Tuesday. Additionally, The Telegraph reports that the Premier League plan is to start again on June 12.

The last game played in the Premier League was Leicester’s meeting with Aston Villa on March 9. Liverpool leads the league with 82 points and has 25 points less than the second Manchester City.
