Subsequently, the police authority investigated the incident. A report was also made to the prosecutor.

However, the last part was dropped because the whole thing was considered a pure accident and was therefore not subject to public prosecution.
However, on the part of the police authority, the police officer is considered to have committed a non-minor offense. Therefore, the Eastern Region of the Police proposed a disciplinary sanction for misconduct.
The Police Personnel Accountability Committee has later handled the incident and states in its decision that the police officer violated his employment obligations.
According to the authority, the incident is not minor and therefore the police are notified.
The decision has been signed by the head of the National Police, Anders Thornberg.
