On December 9 of this year, an ambulance was alerted to an apartment in Sandy Springs, Georgia, US A two-year-old girl was found uncontactable and sent with blue lights to a nearby children’s hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Nanny Kirstie Flood, 29, who was caring for the girl at the time, told police the two-year-old fell and hit her head on the playground and has been unconscious ever since. But that explanation for the girl’s injuries was dismissed by doctors directly at the hospital.
Police found an offensive search history
At the end of last week, Kirstie Flood was arrested on suspicion of murdering the girl. According to a statement from the Police Ministry, the autopsy report shows that the now-dead girl “was subjected to serious injuries that resulted in her death while she was being treated by the suspect.”
During a search of the 29-year-old’s home, police also found a search history on the babysitter’s mobile phone that piqued their interest. According to the police, he had searched for phrases like “what kind of people like to abuse other people’s children” and “what it means to have a sudden urge to hit a child who is not yours.”
The 29-year-old is now charged with murder and several cases of child abuse.
“She was the light in my life, the love in my life,” says the mother of the two-year-old about her dead daughter.

The 29-year-old must have known the family for several years. According to the mother of the two-year-old girl, she was a close friend who began caring for her daughter in August this year.
– It is as if this evil has been in front of my face for several years and I have never seen it, says the mother of the girl, Kristin Fridley, to WSB TV and describes her daughter as the light and love of her life.
