The meter-high metal pillar in the Utah desert has puzzled the public. First, the big question was where it came from, and in recent days, many have wondered where the monolith has taken the path since it mysteriously disappeared this weekend. But now the mystery is solved.
Photographer Ross Bernard writes about without instagram that he and some friends had gone to the place where the monolith was photographing him.
After admiring the mysterious object for more than an hour and taking several photographs, Ross Bernard and his friends heard voices approaching the scene.

Four men with a wheelbarrow appeared and suddenly two of them stepped forward and began to push the monolith.
In the end, they received a push that overturned the object. The men then tore down the monolith, loaded the remains onto the wheelbarrow, and left the scene.
– That’s why you must not leave garbage in the desert, must have said one of the men according to Ross Bernard.
The men also urged Bernard and his group to “leave no trace.”
The next day, Ross Bernard describes how crowds of people came to the site to search for the monolith they would never find.
