It was on November 30 that a man in his 60s was found dead on a property north of Filipstad. The police immediately suspected murder.
– We suspect there has been a serious crime. We have staff on site and otherwise I cannot comment further, said Christina Hallin, a police spokeswoman for the Bergslagen region.
It now appears that police found the man only after he had been dead for a week, NWT reports.
– You went there and looked out the window and then saw the dead man on the ground, prosecutor Stefan Wessberg tells NWT.
He was reported missing
According to the newspaper, the man was reported missing at the time.
A man in his 30s, a friend of the victim, is a suspect in the murder.
– He has not admitted but has accepted that it is he who has injured the plaintiff. He then claims that he had no intention of killing. He has given his consent but does not admit to the murder, Stefan Wessberg tells NWT.
The victim was found on property related to the friend of the murder suspect.
