After the investigation has long been on hold, there were suddenly big twists and turns regarding the alleged murder of billionaire wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen in Norway.
Her husband was arrested on suspicion of murder or assisted with murder, and within two days another person, a man in his 30s, was arrested. However, both were released a few days later, but suspicions against them persist.
Now, Norwegian media write that the youngest has been on the police radar for a long time, despite the arrest made after a year and a half after the disappearance of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen. The man was called as a witness at the beginning of the investigation, according to NRK.
Anne-Elisabeth Hagen went missing in the fall of 2018 and for a long time the main theory of the police was that she was kidnapped. The husband stated that he had been in contact with the kidnappers who requested large sums of cryptocurrency against the life of Anne-Elisabeth.
The meetings were about cryptocurrencies
Today, the situation is different: it is suspected that the billionaire organized the entire kidnapping and was involved in the dreaded murder of his wife Anne-Elisabeth.
At least ten times, the billionaire and the youngest suspect should have met, according to documents NRK noted. The meetings should have been about cryptocurrencies, which have been a key part of the alleged kidnapping. According to NRK, the meetings were business-related and took place at Hagen’s office.
Both refuse to get involved in the disappearance or possible murder of Anne-Elisabeth. The husband’s lawyer says that he was very surprised when, through the media, he discovered that the minor had been arrested. To NRK’s question about what the billionaire has to do with the man, Hagen’s attorney replies:
– He says at least she doesn’t have a connection to him as the police think.
The other man’s lawyer says he believes the suspect in the crime is “absurd.”
