In early autumn, a preliminary investigation was launched to obtain information that high-ranking police chiefs and their families had received apartments on property owned by the authority’s foundation. The preliminary investigation that was launched concerned infidelity to the director and gross misappropriation, according to Dagens Nyheter.

Now Joakim Zander of the special prosecutor’s office has decided that the preliminary investigation will be closed, the newspaper writes.

– It has not been a matter of bribes because you cannot bribe yourself and it has not been a matter of infidelity to the principal because the apartments have no value in themselves. They have since rented for market rental, so this is not a serious misappropriation, says Joakim Zander, to DN.

Zander doesn’t want to go into whether it could have been the corruption of friendships, according to the newspaper.
