The government and the coalition parties, the Center Party and the Liberals, want the Armed Forces to consider whether it is possible to become more permissive with wind turbines, Ekot reports on Swedish radio.

– The Armed Forces, to some extent, put a wet blanket over much of the country when it comes to wind energy. There we see how other countries have handled this conflict much better, such as Denmark, Center Party environmental policy spokesman Rickard Nordin tells Ekot.

The Armed Forces have imposed restrictions on wind turbines on roughly 40 percent of the country’s surface, in part because they are considered to make low-altitude flights difficult.

– If you now bother the Armed Forces, says a radar system, then the Armed Forces can say that if you build this, you should supplement with these things so that you don’t bother in the same way, says Nordin.
