Jens Burman ended the World Cup season with a giant five mile run.

The Swede took his first place on the podium of his career when he finished third after an excellent forcing at the end.

The water was made by the Norwegian Simen Hegstad Krüger.

Jens Burman’s long-awaited podium came after a brilliant finish during the last five kilometers of the mile.

Russian Alexei Chervotkin stayed for a long time and shot for a few seconds in front of a field of about 20 skiers. But with five kilometers to go, the distance began to catch up with the group behind and the Russian was left unattended by several skiers.

With just under two kilometers, the Norwegians Hans Christer Holund, Simen Hegstad Krüger and the Swedish Burman separated slightly from the rest of the peloton and each had a podium within reach.

But behind him he was chasing Aleksandr Bolshunov and the ghost of the Norwegian sprint Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. But the top trio held out and in the race Simen Hegstad Krüger crossed the finish line first, followed by Holund as second and Burman third, three seconds behind first.
