The man in his 20s was arrested and detained as a suspect in the shooting, but was released on bail by the Uppsala District Court. Prosecutor Christer Sammens, who is leading the preliminary investigation, does not know about Thursday’s blast when SVT calls. But he says the man in his 20s is still a suspect in the shooting.
– My investigation of that incident continues and it is clear that we will analyze the connections, says Christer Sammens.

Police spokesman Jonas Eronen confirms that there is a person living at the address in Gränby where the explosion occurred who may have links to other acts of violence that took place in the Gränby area in the near future, but does not want to specify this further.
The man written in the address is unharmed and will be questioned.
– We have to check certain things, but these connections can advance the investigation. There is something to start from, unlike if it had been a random explosion.

The situation between criminal gangs in Gränby is described as tense.
– The temperature has risen since the beginning of summer. We have a decent view of people on the networks, but at the same time they are mobile and loyalties change, making it difficult for us to work.
