Since the second sub-competition of the Melodifestivalen that took place last weekend, artists Dotter and Anton Ewald have gone straight to the final. On Thursday, Dotter’s contribution “Little tot” was posted on Youtube, which is contrary to SVT’s rules that finished songs cannot be posted until all sub-competitions have been decided, as Aftonbladet reported.
Daughter’s record label, Warner Music, told the newspaper that they know nothing about how the clip was distributed and that they follow the contest rules “one hundred percent.” On Friday, the contribution was removed from Youtube and Melodifestivalen’s project manager Anette Brattström told Expressen that the leak will not affect Dotter’s continued participation in the competition.
– The videos that we have found on YouTube are already downloaded and will not affect the competition. Since it is not the author, artist or record company that has released the song without a third party, the contribution will not be washed.
