On Monday, the national bomb squad was called to a residential building in Krokslätt, south of Gothenburg, to investigate a suspected dangerous object. A moment after three in the afternoon, the object had been secured and the protection against bombs could leave the place, the police informed DN.
– The object was explosive, says Anna Göransson, Police Region West press spokeswoman.
As late as this summer An explosion occurred at the house and Anna Göransson tells DN that the police know who the crimes are targeting.
– This is an incident that is related to a previous incident in this place from last summer when it was a detonation, a general dangerous destruction. There has been information that there may be a suspected dangerous object left at this location since last summer, he says.
Göransson confirms at the same time that the police are investigating a connection between the events in Krokslätt and the explosion at a doctor’s office in Första långgatan, where an elderly woman was seriously injured.
“We are investigating these events as interconnected,” he says.
