The billionaire may have made crucial mistakes

Tom Hagen has become one of the richest men in Norway over the years: When his wife Anne-Elisabeth disappeared, the Norwegian business press put him at number 172 on the country’s richest list with a fortune of almost 2 billion Swedish crowns.

Together with a company, he built the Elkraft energy company and in recent years has also taken out around a billion from the company. He has invested some of the money in an exclusive ski resort in the Norwegian Kvitfjell north of Lillehammer.

The night before the disappearance. Hagen spouses watched the musical “The Book of Mormon” with some friends in Oslo. After that, they went home to Lørenskog, which is one mile from the capital.

Tom Hagen drove to work at nine the next morning. The office is located a few kilometers from the house and police investigations later confirm that he has come to work.

Anne-Elisabeth Hagen stayed at home. She talks to a relative at 09:14 and that is the last known sign of life. An electrician tries to contact her shortly after, but she does not respond. He told the Norwegian newspaper VG that he thought it was strange.

Tom Hagen went home at 1.30pm and found the demand letter threatening that an execution video would be posted online if he did not pay the equivalent of SEK 9 million. His wife would also be killed if she contacted the police.

He still did it about half an hour later and when police are discreetly searching the house, trailers are found from a bathroom, according to VG.

That Tom Hagen could only manage to murder his wife, hide the missing body, and remove traces that ran the risk of revealing it within five hours of his last call until contact with the police seems unlikely.

If he is guilty of the charges of killing his wife, he must be helped to murder.

A while ago I met one of the worst thieves in Scandinavia. For decades he has emptied banks and value transfers of millions along with other professional criminals. Those sources of income are history now and I wonder what their old friends are doing.

– Kidnappings and blackmail with cryptocurrencies, he gave as an example.

In the letter found at Hagen’s house There were instructions that the ransom be paid in a cryptocurrency popular with criminals. Tom Hagen later told police that he had contact with the kidnappers through encrypted messages sent along with sending money.

Now it is suspected that it was a scam.

He should also have made a large payment of SEK 10 million last summer.

Norwegian police no longer believe Anne-Elisabeth Hagen has been kidnapped and that must mean that the police are also investigating whether the transfers in the cryptocurrency were actually a payment for the work done in connection with the murder.

The last encrypted contact regarding the million transfers will be Tom Hagen after police concluded last summer that the suspicion in the case changed to murder and that they no longer believed Anne-Elisabeth was alive.

Was I desperate then? Did you make a mistake that revealed you deliberately left traces of rest?

Norwegian police said in connection with the arrest that a great effort was made to track down Tom Hagen’s counterpart in the encrypted communication and concluded that there was probably no real counterpart in the negotiations.

However, the advanced agreement targets more people involved. It seems unlikely that Tom Hagen would risk being revealed when communicating with himself.

Tom Hagen has sent several emails during the police investigation and has released various theories about possible perpetrators. Police now suspect that it is a smoke screen and if it can be claimed that he has gone through falsehoods in emails and interrogations, there may now be lies turned against him in the chain of evidence that has accumulated for several months.

The evidence against Tom Hagen is secret, but in the court’s decision to arrest him as a suspect in the murder or to assist in the murder, it is claimed that more people were likely involved in the alleged murder, the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reports.

The court writes in the arrest decision that the body of Anne-Elisabeth Hagen was removed from the home and that the crime required “professionalism”.

After the arrest, the Norwegian police launched advanced forensic investigations at Hagen’s home, at his company, and at Kvitfjell. The car he owned in connection with the disappearance is also being re-examined.

At the same time, I suppose the police made a great effort to get to the bottom with the image of the motif. What were the problems in the marriage? How concrete were your divorce plans? Had you told me something about your husband’s reactions?

In the past, the police had to cautiously address these questions because Tom Hagen played the role of victim but was still receiving information that the marriage was breaking in the joints; Relationship questions are now set in a completely different context and will certainly be easier to answer for anyone who knows something.
